About Sally Parkinson

Sally Parkinson A.I.S.T.D Dip

Sally began dancing at the tender age of 3 and by the age of 15 dancing had become her life. She performed in many shows and was asked to join the cast of Carousel at the Liverpool Empire Theatre.

Upon leaving school she auditioned for and was successful in obtaining a place at Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre (Ray Quinn of X-Factor and Dancing on Ice was a recent pupil) where she trained in virtually every aspect of dance including Ballroom and Latin American and took all her teaching exams.

She turned professional and after gaining her equity card she toured Italy and the Middle East with various dance companies, appearing at the Monte Carlo Casino and San Remo Casino with Sacha Distel. Whilst in Italy she was invited to be a guest on a game show for Italian TV.

On returning home she choreographed dances for promotional work for "Reebok", also choreographed and appeared in Sport Aid and a charity show at the Adelfi Hotel, Liverpool, organised by Tom O'Connor. Credits also include pantomimes and summer seasons in this country.

Sally's teaching skills have taken her to many theatre and dancing schools throughout the country and many of her past students have gone on to do great things in the West End.

When she settled in the South East she taught at the Drusilla Duffill Theatre School before opening her own school in 2008 in Rustington, where she holds classes from the ages of 3 - 70 years in Tap, Ballet, Modern and Jazz.
